How to speed up my SGS2?

I have a Samsung galaxy s2 which runs on Jellybean 4.1.2(official samsung update). Recently my phone has become extremwly laggy. Please do tell me how to speed it up..


P.S. Installing a custom ROM is not an option as of now.

you can try deleting all of the programs you dont use anymore off the phone.

also you can try not having a whole bunch of programs running at once.
