How to stop a laptop overheating when playing a game

I currently have a laptop. My laptop easily reaches this games requirements but my laptop still overheats even though it has enough power. I think the cooling is bad in the laptop. Can I install new coolers in a laptop? Or can I do something else?

for updating bios go to your manufacturer's support website and download the new bios if available
