I want to disable Cortana on my windows 10 PC, I've already followed steps online making changes to the registry in order to stop it running but it still pops up using around 40mb memory in my task manager, is this unavoidable?
40mb out of 8192? So what?
Think of Cortana as part of Windows - you can't remove it.
I guess I was just trying to gain some clarification seeing as I'd previously read from a clearly misleading article that I could stop an entirely unnecessary program from running in the background, whether it used 40 or 400.
