How to transfer files from Macboo to my iPad 9.7

How can I transfer/or copy files,folders,music, ect from my Macbook to my new iPad 9.7

Should be as simple as using iTunes and lynching what you want to the iPad. Did you read the instructions from Apple site? Having issues following them? Exactly what issues?
