how to turn a gaxaly screen on if it's black but everything else is working?

so I got a galaxy s3 and I charged it and you can hear everything an see the light come on at the bottom but the screen won't come on and ik it isn't broken how do I get it back on?

Probably a loose light/display connection or a broken/toast light/connection. Try to bump it around and hit it with something or maybe drop it on the floor a couple of times. Not too high! Don't be tempted to bust it open and just have it checked.
