How to turn off ipad with broken digitizer and home button

How do you turn off a ipad that has a nonworking home button and digitizer? I replaced a digitizer and it didnt work so I cant turn it off to see if the cable is lose. If I do it while its on I'm afraid it will try something.

That is hard to do. It is stuck in lock screen so it goes to sleep mid every 2 second so it doesnt lose charge. I left it on at 4% last night. Checked it this morning. Still 4% left.

open it up carefully as I had to do that on a customer's ipad air over a month ago.
