Use the power button on it, outside of maybe Apple, I don't know of any device vendor that would not give you a physical on/off button.

If you are asking how to do this because the remote is lost then you'll have to get a universal remote. There are several places selling replacement remotes for Vizio TVs, if you can find the right model. They are surprisingly inexpensive.
