gonna need a bit more info. what type of headphones are they? what are you trying to do with them that you need the mic? what are the headphones connected to and so on....

Well, those tiny built-in MIC usually are attached to a 4-collar 3.5mm plug. If whatever you want it to connect to doesn't have the proper 3.5mm jack then some sort of cabling adapter, no additional electronics should be needed. Just a simple cable adapter.
