How to watch and browse PC network movie library on a Samsung smart TV

I have a large collection of movies on my home network (Windows). I want to browse the library and watch (stream) the movies on a Samsung smart TV. Samsung Smart View download does not let me browse the library from the TV. Also cannot handle hierarchical files. It requires the PC server be next to the TV because browsing must be done from the PC - i.e. it is not very smart. Samsung Link download is a piece of garbage and discontinued. How do I browse and view the library (which will be folders inside folders of movies)?

Also I was unable to get the TV to work with Windows Media Player. Online instructions refers to the older model of the Smart TV, and there seems to be no way to pair WMP to the TV? Does WMP allow browsing from the TV set?

Connection is through wired ethernet.
Don't want to use the TV as a monitor to the PC - PC is on another floor.
Don't want to copy 8 TB of movies on to USB flash drives.
Don't want to use a cell phone to perform the browsing.

Install plex on the pc
Install the plex app on the samsung tv

if you use "INPUT" do you see that drive your sharing for movies ?
are your movies in MP4 format H264? is your TV 5.1 Compatible if not are your movie in Stereo Mode or 5.1?
