[Sick of This Crap Technology]

My wife and I both have this brand of laptop by hp and on both of them the left hinge slowly breaks until it is completely busted open but you can't tell its breaking. When you shut the screen it just makes a little cracking sound until the whole thing is ripping out. Was there a recall on this? It's completely ridiculous to buy a $700 laptop and the hinges (same one on both computers) can't even stay attached.

Your best bet would probably be to post in the official HP forums (or junkyard, as it were).
