HP Compaq nx6110 do not accept 2 x 1GB RAM. I installed only 1 GB DDR 333 and 512 MB RAM. Any idea?

Both 1GB RAM are equal and new. One runs in all combinations and slots, the other one never.

If the other RAM stick does not run in either of the laptop slots, to me that sounds like the RAM stick.
