I have a customer with an odd problem:

If I let the laptop sit for a length of time, it will not POST. All the power lights come on, but no POST.

If I leave it trying to turn on for a few minutes until it warms up, shut it off, turn it back on and it boots right up. It seems like the warmer it gets the faster it POSTS.

This is the oddest problem I have seen, and I've been working on laptops for 4 or 5 years.

I have the same problem. I found that if I continue turning it off and on, it gets further into post and eventually tries to boot into windows. It can take up to 20 times, but it does consistanly get there eventually. I am a tech as well and am completely baffled as to why. If anyone does figure it out, please post here. thanks,
