hp dv7 no power

my hp dv7 laptop was plugged in using a cord with reverse polarity now it wont power up. the light flashes where it plugs in at thats all

Best case, a fuse blew inside and could be replaced by a tech. Worst case, you fried all kinds of things by sending the reverse power through the thing.
