HP Dv9000 Blank screen problem

Hi,

I have an hp dv9000 and when I boot it up the screen goes blank. Apparently it is a problem with nvdia and there was a law suit against them. I was wondering if I could get this replaced or repaired from hp?

Not likely because most of the dv9000 are about 5 years old, but I would try to contact them. I know someone who has a dv9000 and the motherboard is slowly but surely failing, they just bit the bullet and bought a new laptop, because it was for business use and stability was vital.

Can check around your area for someone who reflows or reballs chips or even replaces them, but it's not cheap.
