HP ENVY 15-j151sa vs Inspiron 17 5749

I started a thread yesterady that was probably too vague. It was not one with any real results. Anyways, I tried now to narrow the search.

Which of these two laptops do you guys think is overall better?

Despite the fact that the Inspiron seems a tiny bit better in terms of the parts, for example the fact that it has a 17'' screen with only 1600x900 resolution compared to the 15'' with 1080, I think the desplay on the Hp would be nicer to look at..?

So what do you guys think? Also HP vs DELL, do brands matter, or are they the same?

HP and Dell do not have the best build quality. I recommend this laptop.

Its a bit too much on the expensive side for me though. I have a good gaming PC and will not use the Laptop for much gaming generally, only when I am awy for a week or so. 500 punds was really on the expensive side for me. I am really looking for something for 450 ish.

Again, dont mean to be picky, but both the CPU and GPU seem to be inferior for the same price... and I am not sure if the build quality is that much better on an asus then on a dell or hp.
