HP envy 15t slim quad or lenovo y40 or lenovo y50

Hi Guys,
Am looking for buying a laptop within 1000$. I a light gamer and use to watch lot of movies in laptop. Below are options i have in mind. Kindly let me know which one is best.

I heard FHD display of y50 is very bad. Kindly suggest me.

I'd say the Lenovo Y50 would be better. Sounds to me like good quality, and better hardware than most of the listed ones.

Probably way late, but I would strongly recommend you avoid the Lenovo's Ideapad line. We bought a Y400p (predecessor of the y40) which failed and was replaced several times, all internal failures which led to no boot. Eventually it was upgraded to a y440p which didn't last 3 months before it failed. Eventually it was replaced with a u580 touch which was fine till a friend of my son closed the lid on a mouse cable which broke the hinge and cracked the screen (the broken unstable right hinge caused the left hinge to fail and crack the screen), Examining the hinge assembly was eye opening. It's poorly designed and set up for failure. Anyone owning this model should treat the hinge like it is made of eggshells. No more warranty and the parts alone are over $400 (looking at ebay now) so the machine is essentially dead after a year. The ordeal included a DOA Y400 and U580. To put things in perspective, we have much as in 2-7yrs older and lower spec Toshiba, HP and a Samsung Chromebook that have never broken and all look like new. Lenovo support was fine, but I spent more time diagnosing, backing up, shipping and waiting for RMA's. My Lenovo Ideapad experience is the single worst purchase I ever made.

Thinkpad = OK
Ideapad = poorly constructed cheap junk that should be avoided at all cost

To be honest, every company has their AWFUL quality products. I've bought a Toshiba, and the screen finished its lie RIGHT after the warranty. Our Acer laptop is quite crappy; 4 years and the CPU is hot. I haven't seen a Lenovo computer die, but you seem to have one of them.

And also, I recommended the Y50 because it has better GPU.
