HP g42 backlight problem

My backlight keeps shutting off randomly. Does anyone know how to fix this problem, or has anyone ever encountered it?

Seen it on other lappies... generally its the screen cable becoming detached from back of screen or screen failing...

If its loose...NEW tape time (that holds it on...
