First of all, the specs of my laptop:
Product name: HP Pavilion 15-n210se
OS : Windows 8.1 64-bit
RAM : 4gb
Display Adapters:
(1) Microsoft Basic Display Adapter[default]
(2) Nvidia GeForce GT 740M[downloaded]

Then, here's my case:
I formatted my laptop and as usual i downloaded the needed drivers(via HP Support Assistant) i confirmed it in the device manager. But still my games are lagging because they use the basic display adapter. I already enable the settings in the NVIDIA control panel to use it but it actually doesn't.

Hi,

Download and install the latest graphics card driver from NVIDIA support site that should do the trick. Be sure to uninstall first the old NVDIA driver from Device Manager and in Programs and Features. Once uninstalled download the latest driver here in this link: nvidia.com/download/index.aspx. Be sure to reboot your PC for all the changes to take effect.
