HP laptop won't connect to any wifi

My laptop hasn't been connecting to any wifi connection. I tried connecting to my home network and it wouldn't connect even though every bodies devices whether they be laptops or iPods or phones were connecting. So I went to school and now the same thing is happening with my school network wifi. It just won't even try to connect to any connection. The connections show up but when I try to connect it tries to load and says windows is unable to connect to wifi. I went to command prompt and I typed in ipconfig/all and it says that all the media is disconnected. How do I fix this. Sorry for formatting I'm typing this on my iPod.

I took the ethernet chord from a computer in the library and connected it to my laptop. this is what the command prompt says before I connected the ethernet.

I updated the wireless driver also and it still wont connect.
