HP or Dell Laptop?

Solution
I would possibly look at there Zenbook series? There laptops can be pricey but they are well worth it. Now that i thought about it Lenovo also makes some good performance laptops also. I would do some searching on amazon and look at Asus, Lenovo, and MSI and just do some price comparisons on the hardware. Even if you got one that doesn't come with an ssd, if it has a second hard drive bay you could always get whatever ssd you would like and swap it in there.

Honestly, if i was going to spend the money those laptops are listed at, i would actually go Asus. Ive seen better performance out of Asus than any dell or hp laptop outside of the Dell workstation laptops.

Lenovo seems to offer best value good student discount looking at the ideapad 720S 14IKB will come down to £680 or a Ideapad 720S 13" £720 the latter has the newer i5 but former has a huge battery tough call which would you go for?
