HP Pavilion 15-b119wm 3 beeps & Won't boot

So I have a HP Pavilion that had a hard drive go out and I finally got a replacement HHD but now that I put it in the laptop I try to start it up and it doesn't boot. I don't have an OS on the drive get but I figured I would try to boot the laptop to make sure the HDD works. But the screen doesn't even turn on and it just beeps 3 times. Beeeep, Beeeep, Beeeep. Any help please?

Hi, If you boot off a DVD does it still beep? Beep codes are like an error messages. Designed to alert the user to a fault in the system hardware.

Remove RAM, reset properly and boot. If you have two modules in there, then try one ram at one time and see if the beep appears again

The laptop actually doesn't have an optical drive and I haven't purchased the OS yet because I don't want to spend the money on a broken laptop. But I guess I will and put it on a flash drive and see if it still beeps when I try to turn it on. I thought it was weird though because it doesn't even "boot up" the screen doesn't even turn on..
