HP Pavilion 17-e119wm Can't Run Games

I recently got my hands on an HP Pavilion 17-e119wm and was looking to run some low-end games on it such as TF2, Dota 2, and Rocket League. When I first launched the laptop, I wasn't expecting much in terms of pure graphics muscle but I expected better than 15 fps on every game with all settings as low as they go. I've tried everything to fix it: reinstalling drivers, factory resetting to Windows 8.1, system restoring, but to no avail. I'm not looking for a miracle, I just don't want everything to run/look like trash. Thanks!

try lower the game resolution, other than that not much you can do.

I've tried doing that, but I'm still getting about 20 fps max on every game I play. Is this laptop really just THAT bad?
