Solved! Hp pavilion hard drive crashed

Put new one in exact replacement but can't get computer to start up. I have no reboot disk. How or can I reboot? lm

There is no OS on that new hard drive that you put in that laptop. If you dont have a recovery cd that came with your laptop when you bought it then you will need to buy an operating system like xp, vista, 7 or whatever OS was on that laptop.

You don't need to buy another OS. Just torrent an OEM copy of whatever OS came with your notebook, and then use the CD key that's on the sticker on the bottom of the machine.
