If u need extreme gaming then go for M1730 if u need a desktop replacement with good gaming (but not as good as Dell because its 8800MGTX (SLI) vs 8800M GTS) go for HDX

The Dell m1730 is more of a decktop replacement...it gets only 55 minutes battery life.....So this may not be a good as a gaming laptop....but it get a lot more battery life time

I told u to get SAGER NP9262 it has a good battery life (better than XPS) and for no reasons u said no

Also u have chosen the HDX so how can my idea affect your decission?

Best laptop in the world=Sager NP9262 (=a true desktop replacement)
HDX=Good gaming +desktop replacement
XPS M1730=Good but very overprice laptop
