HP Stream 11

Hello guys

I have recently purchased this laptop it's amazing! Had it just under a week. Only bad thing I can see if that the over heating issues I seem to be having.

From the moment I turn it on it gets really hot to the put where it's uncomfortable on my lap.

Does anyone else experience the same issue? If so what do you suggest I do?

Many laptops have a large cooling vent on the right or left side but the Stream 11 doesn't have one.

Place your laptop on a small board or tray slightly bigger than your laptop (anything with a hard, flat surface) before putting it on your lap.

This will maintain an even gap under the laptop because it's rubber/plastic feet will be resting on the board.
Should help to keep it cooler.

I never use my laptop directly on my lap, always have it on short piece of shelving board.

It should not be overheating or get really hot on the underside based on reviews I have seen for it last year / earlier this year. None of the reviews have complained about heat.

Exchange it for another one.
