huge lag in Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere

Hello i have a windows pc with an atlhon x4 760k, nvidia 750ti, 8gb ram, 1tb 7200rpm hdd. I use adobe lightroom, Photoshop and Premiere i am experiencing huge lags every time i open one of these 3 applications. I usually edit photos from my camera i have imported over 2000 pictures in lightroom and it lags a lot, photoshop lags a lot too and premiere is almost unusable what i can do to minimize lag?

Budget CPU, Budget GPU. Cheapest solution I can suggest is add another 8 gigs of RAM.

All your specs are a bit low for Premiere ....and even PhotoShop...

Premiere enthusiasts look for X99 platform and as many cores as they can afford
16GB is the minimum, 32 is not unusual
More CUDA cores will help
And of course this is one of the few applications where SSD speeds have noticeable impact on productivity.

Simply put, you need a system that would best be called a "workstation"....and while you could forgo the X99 and go w/ Z170 and 6700k, 16 GB of RAM would be my starting point.

As your hardware is what it is, software/program settings are the only option at this point... As Corwin65 stated perhaps bumping your RAM up MIGHT help. Take a look at these links and see if anything applies/helps improve your performance issues.

Probably pegging the crap out of the hard disk when loading.

Look at disk usage % in resource monitor.
