probably if you watch lot of shows and don't like to either manually torrent search or setup RSS torrent....

for subscription, Hulu should let people choose what browser they can use...traditional web browser or entertainment server such as boxee....

No I would not. For 8.99 from Netflix, you get access to thousands of movies compare to a "handful" of television shows.

If it had the same access to shows on FX, TNT, USA, Syf-Fy, etc as well. Oh Yeah. I have already ditched cable since I do not want to pay $60 a month for access to those channels plus a bunch of garbage. I use my DVR function for free TV and buy DVDs for other shows.

There's already a free streaming video application from ABC available at the Apple App Store which will undermine this offering for iPad users.

Absolutely. HuluPlus + Netflix = far better value than Cox cable. I think their internet service is good, but their cable television service is overpriced.

I've already given up cable for OTA HD major networks and Windows Media Center DVR. What I would pay for is live streaming ESPN, because that's the only cable I actually miss. If you have the right ISP, ESPN360 works for some events, but no NFL.

I would consider it. It would be nice if along with the fee they got a little more HTPC friendly, like real Windows Media Player integration (there are a few hacks out there, but they mostly just cause the Hulu Desktop to spawn).

You would have to pay ME to watch SNL these days. Totally out of touch with reality. Netflix puts these jokers to shame.

Right - not sure what benefit this would have over netflix with streaming which costs less. Unless there was access to cable programming - if that were the case, I'd jump in. But if it's just standard network fare, not sure why I would want to pay for 5 weeks ago... I don't have that much latency.

The elephant in the T.V. room:

Who is providing most people with their broadband internet connection required to use Hulu in the first place? That's right, the same companies that are traditionally charging us for cable, satellite, or fiber optic t.v. If a "critical mass" of people switch to services like Hulu and cancel t.v. services enough to tip the revenue scales, then these companies will just compensate by charging higher prices for internet access, and possibly phone services if you do not subscribe to their T.V. package.

I'd use services like this, but I can't find any that are available outside of the US. Sure I can port forward, but I've found that my net speed takes a major hit to do so.

Probably not, there are too many shows that I catch on a whim that would never show up on hulu, not to mention just about everything on the cable box is HD 720/1080 while hulu still only sports 480. And PPV would be a pain.
