I know my stuff when it comes to laptops; I'm no IT Tech but I know the basics. I am about to purchase a new laptop by the end of this week, I have decided on a CyberPower Xplorer X6-6800. I have made some customizations to it, and I'm going to be downloading my own operating system to save some cash. The specifications are as follows ( these specs are not the originals; I have customized them ):

CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-4700MQ Mobile Processor 2.40 GHz 6M Smart Cache, Max Turbo Freq. 3.40 GHz
HDD: 750GB 7200RPM SATA300 Hard Drive
MEMORY: 16GB (8GBx2) DDR3-1600 SODIMM Memory [+19] (Corsair or Major Brand)
MOTHERBOARD: Mobile Intel HM87 Express Chipset Mainboard
SOUND: Built-in 3D Premium Surround Sound
VIDEO: NVIDIA GTX 765M 2GB PCIe Video (NB-383-101)

It also comes with Metro Last Light for free; as my GPU is a above the 660 series. I have ordered a 1600 DPI mouse with it as well for 5 dollars (quite cheap), and it has an 64 GB SSD option for 10 extra dollars; but with this laptop it's just going to end up slowing me down. With shipping and everything, as I'm in Canada it's a bit more expensive it comes to:

$1,147

Is this a decent buy? If not any suggestions?
