can you get into the bios to see if the hard drive is seen by the bios?

[strike][/strike]Disconnect the charger from the laptop, remove the battery, discharge the motherboard by pressing down the power button for about 15 seconds. That worked for me! I was having the same problem.
Alternatively you can update your bios by downloading an update from the official lenovo website.
