I can see all the pixels on my laptop

Hello,I recently purchased a new Toshiba Satellite. Sadly, I can easily spot the grid of pixels that make up the screen. I have it running at it's max 1366x768 resolution, so I know that isn't the issue and that it is the screen itself. Is this an actual issue with my screen, or is this something common with these screens? If it is simply a damaged screen, great, I will return it for a new one. If not, I fear I am unhappy with my recent purchase. Any help is appreciated.
