Question I can't get any channels on my vizio vp42 from my antenna

Okay so my vizio vp42 worked with my cable box but I moved so I can't use that till I get my service transfered. So I bought an antenna today and I tried it on the vp42 first and it didn't work so I tried it on my TCL ROKU tv in the same exact location and it worked. So my question is, why can't I get any channels on the vp42

What make/model antenna? Is it a powered antenna? If so, is it getting power?
