i can't text

I have a andriod phone and I am getting a error code 313 when I try to text

It seems the "error 313" is related to SIM failure... However, did you check the dial-number of your messaging-center (in SMS app, choose the "settings" item in contextual menu). Check on the net if the number is the good one with your wireless carrier.

You could power off your phone, remove the sim card and insert it again. Sometime it works.


(I'm not sure of the term "messaging-center" though i'am using a french android 😉. However, there is just on dial number in the settings )

I hate to act dumb,but wheere on the net would I find this info? That is the number I changed,

You really need to contact your wireless carrier for help on this. They can walk you through their settings to get you up and running.

You can call the care center of your carrier provider as says COLgeek. Else, with google : "Messaging center SMS <your provider> settings".

Or perhaps on parsing your carrier provider website. Usually, this kind of infos is available to avoid multiple calls 😉.
