I don't see output audio via hdmi as an option!!!

New tv no volume thru cable but yes with Netflix. I don't see audio out with hdmi

Did you try turning the optical audio out of the cable box off?
If your cable box doesn't show the option to output audio via HDMI in the audio set up menu then call your cable provider. They should be able to reset the box or tell you what the problem is.
