Depends on what it's doing wrong.
You may need to adjust the level of the amp if you are getting too much or too little bass compared to the other speakers.
You may need to EQ the woofer.
If the woofer cabinet is ported you could try blocking the port.
If the woofer cabinet is badly designed or built you may need to reinforce the cabinet or make a new one.
If the woofer is being overdriven by the amp don't play it loud enough to distort or get a woofer capable of handling the power.
