I have a cooling related question on these laptops..

So I'm going to buy a new laptop and I was wondering if it was better to buy a Lenovo that has holes under it for the fan, or an Asus that doesn't. (the holes are on the sides of the laptop for air intake) So i wanted to ask you guys with experience if the hole under the laptop really makes a difference compared to one that doesn't. Add a laptop cooling pad into your thoughts as well.

I prefer side vents because I always end up unknowingly blocking the bottom somehow, but side vent usually are easy to avoid. I don't care for a cooling pad but if your getting temp throttled then use the mat.
