Hi,

If the both run in the same voltage to charge you can in theory but it's risky. I would suggest just buying a new charger saves you time and money rather than risking on blowing up the laptop that you would end up wasting more money.

that hp power adapter has to have output of 19V & no less than 1.58A (30W) tho it can be more.
