My question got cut: I have a samsung soundbar with only aux or optical in ports and a samsung tv with none of these going out. Tech support was useless saying to run off of directv. I have a blue ray player too also samsung. Surely these products should work together? How can I make that happen?

If your TV has a headphone socket you can use that as an aux out.
