I have a toshiba c56 laptop that runs windows 8

My screen has lines and patterns running through it. It appears broken because it has two ink looking spots. To the touch it does not feel broken. I have not dropped or anything. Have you seen this issue before?

Hi there
You don't have to have dropped the laptop for the LCD to crack. Enough pressure on a small area will also do it.
But the description, it does seems like the layer containing the liquid crystal has cracked.
A picture would confirm this though.
