i have a vsx515 pioneer reciever and i cant get any sound from the rear speakers

Is your source and content surround sound? Check the settings of the source.
Did you set up the receiver so it know you have rear speakers and is the level correct?
Did you try selecting a different surround sound mode?
Are the speakers connected correctly?
