i have an older Samsung TV from around 2009. Will it be okay to go wireless with a new sound bar?

I have an older Samsung flatscreen TV (around 2009). Can it connect to wireless sound bars.

A wireless soundbar should just mean that the speakers connect to the soundbar wirelessly. Thus the soundbar itself should connect to the tv via rca, optical or possibly even hdmi.

All of these connections should be on your 2009 TV, but since you gave me no model numbers I cant verify anything.

Depending on the method that the soundbar uses to connect (bluetooth probably) you will need a bluetooth transmitter for the TV. One like this:
