I have no cable, but I want to connect my computer to my tv

I have the Internet and I would like to receive channels from the internet to watch on my tv. So, I was thinking that I could connect the internet and TV.

You could also use a Roku, Apple TV, Amazon, or Android TV box to access the internet. A HTPC is more flexible but not as user friendly for some. More expensive too.
Kodi / XBMC is freeware software that runs on most platforms to stream TV, movies and music.
