I know I have a virus in two computers. Both were working fine until a company called driver doctor(I'm not sure) put programs in to update NVIDIA GeForce video cards drivers. This computer is an Lenovo windows 7 12GB Ram. I can see piles of company names(virus fed), but both computers are obviously hacked. I restored this computer to an earlier date, but the virus is still there. AVG does NOT see the virus, neither does MBAM. Any suggestions? MelGee
Thank you CW for the reply. After working most of the night an all of today I have finally gotten one of computers working. The Dell P2815Q still has a problem however. The video information is stuck in a very large mode. The only way I can make it smaller is tap F8 when the computer is booting up and select safe mode with networking. Then the icons are normal size and lined up vertically on the left side of the page. I can in fact double click on the IE icom and create a very normal looking web page, however I can't save the page. Believe me I have tried ALL of the regular tricks even going so far as burning the bios, but nothing works. As soon as I boot the comp it starts up in the VERY large format and you can't do much with it. That computer is the Dell Xps-8700 and P2815Q dell monitor. Of course nothing effects that computer except the F8 button route. Thank goodness the suggestion you gave me CW helped with the Lenovo now I'm trying to fix the XPS-8700 - P2815Q combo. Several virus hit them both at the same time. Thank you for looking. De MelGee.
Solved today: Tuesday 9/8/2015 at 11:59 PM. All the Dell stuff is working up to date as of right now. I roamed around the Internet until I found the missing or corrupted drivers for the Dell XPS-8700. Both the Monitor (P2815Q) and The XPS-8700 had driver issues. As of right now they are both up to spec. Thanks to CW who helped me with the Lenovo which without I wouldn't have been able to look around the net!
