Right. Here goes. I have a MaPan MX713 android tablet which I've owned for approximately 5 months. Its recently stopped working. Usually, I don't worry about it when it doesn't function properly because I know it will get better, but this time, I'm not so sure.
Right to the point now. Basically, I wasn't using it that much as I had exams and whatnot. I decided to charge it though yesterday as I wanted to use it and when I put it on, the usual charging icon appeared. I left it to charge. About 2 hours later, I went back to it.
I switched it on.
It wasn't switching on..
My heart was racing a bit..
Then it started flashing white...
Then when I took the charger out it kept doing the same thing...............
NOW IT DOESN'T SWITCH ON AT ALL

Hope my iPod doesn't do this...
I know it won't
Because it's genuine Apple and not unknown Chinese manufactured like my tablet.

Oh and my tablet didn't heat up or anything. Please don't suggest pressing the power button for 10 seconds or anything, because I've obviously tried that.

I would also hate to reset it. I'm avoiding that as I have many applications and media on there that are valuable and part of my memories.

So please help meeeeeeeee. I'd be grateful for any suggestions.

Thank you people of Tomshardware.com

Solution
It's not the OS fault. It maybe the hardware. It's China you know.. I've had android devices, and never had issues on them on booting them up. I root them, install custom roms, revert back to stock, and back to custom, etc..

Can you try a hard reset, it will not reset data. However this only worked on my asus tablet but just try it anyways. Hold on power button and volume down key for over 12 seconds.

Thanks,
David

Yes, ok I will try that.

Well you guys please don't suggest that I should root it or anything because if you really want to know I'm under the age of 15 so I dont want to be bothered with all of that. plus how can I if it doesnt switch on

Exactly. If it doesn't turn on, it's probably hardware failure. Rooting won't fix hardware failure anyway.
