I don't need a good graphics card. just CPU performance that will let me use iterative python-based calculation softwares without crashing/overheating (my current HP Elitebook with 7th gen i5 uses up about 97% of CPU while I'm running these softwares. I've experienced several thermal shutdowns).'Looking for laptop suggestions with model and price (not looking for specification suggestions such as "you need an i7" or vague answers like "go for Dell")

Not sure of an exact model, but in general don't get a laptop that features "super-thin" design because the cpus in those tend to overheat and throttle so they don't run at their best as a result.
