I need help with my lap it has white screen and i cant rid of it

I turn on my dell lap top and it shows a white screen so i am left with a lap top but cant do anything with it hope someone could help me please x

Connect an external monitor, does that show a display? Is that white screen soon as you turn on the system or after Windows tries to start? What is the brand and model of the laptop? Was it dropped or anything else before the issue happened?
