Okay so my dad got me an old gateway pc and every time I turn it on i get something like "no bootable device -- insert boot disk and press any key" I don't know what to do I'm just a 16 year old computer noob wanting to use the pc

if you know how to get in the bios setup, check to see if the bios sees the hard drive. also check in the bios to see if the correct time & date is shown as maybe motherboard cmos battery needs to be replaced. what is the make & model number of that gateway?
