Ok I'm trying to hook up an android box through my DVD player which has HDMI my tv doesn't so my red white and yellow wires are connected to my tv and DVD player so what do I do next to get this to work . Hoping I picked the right category.

That won't work, the HDMI port on the DVD player is for video OUT, it won't receive a signal in from the Android box.

Does the TV have no HDMI ports? what TV is it?

If your TV doesn't have HDMI and the android box doesn't have AV outs then you will need an active HDMI to AV converter to connect them. A passive cable won't work. If your TV only has one AV input you will also need an AV input selector unless you manually switch the cables.
