I NEED inexpensive small camcorder that has hotshoe AND ext Mic input

NEED inexpensive small camcorder that had hotshoe for light AND ext Mic input. Anyone out there that can help, it would be much appreciated!!! I have an old Sony Handycam Hi8, but wanting to upgrade so I don't have to transfer all the video to computer and make DVD's of home movies.

They have built in lights. Only high end ones have external mic input.

I had a couple of different sort of JVC flash memory vid cam's and they were fine for home movies. And only a couple of hundred dollars.

Is the light powered by the camera battery or does it use it's own power source (battery)?

Canon VIXIA HF R500 Full HD Camcorder $199.99 This model does have mic and headphone jacks. It does not have a hot shoe but you could add a cold shoe adapter like this one - Cool-Lux MD3200 Accessory Bracket

I could be wrong but unless you are willing to pay a bit more for the camcorder you may have a difficult time finding one with a hot shoe and mic input.
