Question I need some help with connections

I'm connecting a tape deck, stereo amplifier and y computer.. I want to be able to record cassettes from the tape deck into the computer, using Audacity. Here is how I presently have things connected:

The Tape Deck line in L/R is connected to the Stereo Amplifier Tape 1 Play L/R.
The Tape Deck line out L/R is connected to the Stereo Amplifier Tape 1 Record L/R.
Line out from the Computer Sound Card is connected to the Stereo Amplifier Aux In L/R.

If I want to record cassettes from my tape deck into my computer I'm going to have to disconnect the tape deck line out L/R from the Stereo Amplifier Tape 1 Play L/R and connect it to the sound card line in, correct?

I don't really need the tape deck connected to the stereo amplifier do I?
