I played a loud bass boosted song now my headphones' sound is messed up.

A really loud bass boosted song was played through Team-speak and now my headset picks up YouTube and other videos as if you were recording it on a phone with the wind in the background, but on Team-speak its different, everyone is really quiet? Have i done permanent damage or is it a problem elsewhere. I am using HyperX Cloud 2's.

if you damaged your headphones you would hear distortion not just in certain programs but all of them.

as i said it would appear not just in one case but all.

you should test across multiple programs and devices. try another pc as well. if you still have the same issues then maybe you did damage the drivers.

to damage the drivers it would normally have to be something significantly loud though which would normally hurt your ears or at least be painful volumes.

test on another pc, another device and in multiple scenarios and report.
